PARKER COMPACT BRUSHLESS VARIABLE SPEED DRIVE
SLVD / SLVDN

Parker Hannifin

The Parker SLVD / SLVDN brushless variable speed drive is the family of compact digital drives for brushless servo motors which, in addition to positioning applications with trapezoidal profile, electric shaft, electronic cam, spindle orientation, stepper motor simulator and torque control, features an integrated PLC capable of communicating with the most common industrial programming systems, allowing great freedom of use of inputs and outputs.

The SLVD-N range is equipped with an RS422/RS485 serial interface enabling the operator to configure, monitor and give setpoints to up to 32 units simultaneously. A CANbus interface is available in communication and real-time modes, with SBCCAN, CANopen and DS402 protocols.

  • Torque/current/speed control
  • Advanced torque limit management
  • Speed window management
  • Positioner
  • Electric shaft
  • Electronic cams
  • Engine torque control in addition to speed control
  • Virtual master
  • Internal PLC programming to IEC61131-3 (optional)
  • Configurable feedback
  • Standard interfaces: RS422/485, CANopen
  • Optional interface: EtherCAT / PROFINET
  • Integrated braking resistor
  • Integrated EMC filter for three-phase power supply
  • Safety: Optional STO function

Industry: Robotics
Application: Paint robots
6/7-axis painting robot controlled by SLVD-N servo drive. Complete machine control is provided by a dedicated motion controller and remote I/O managed via the CANopen network.

Industry: Glass industry
Application: Machining center
A 4-axis machine (x,y,z, chuck) performs the following operations:
drilling, thread milling and linear milling on different materials. The system comprises 4 SLVD-N drives and 4 SMB motors. The control
of the machine is achieved with a dedicated motion controller. The remote I/Os are controlled via the CANopen protocol.
